Reimbursement for interview expenses of a prospective employee may be paid at the discretion of the department, commission, agency, or board conducting the interview. Official state rates for interview expenses of a prospective employee are set at the applicable out-of-state or in-state rates. Interview expenses may include lodging, meals, transportation, and any other expenses necessary to reimburse a prospective employee for travel from the prospective employee's home to the location of an interview for state employment. Reimbursement for an interagency interview is not an allowable state expenditure. Any expense incurred for a spouse or family of a prospective employee is not an allowable state expenditure.
