If a participant refuses routine medical or dental examination or treatment, the refusal and continued attempts to train the participant about the need for health care, shall be documented in the participants record. If a participant has a serious medical or dental condition which requires immediate treatment, reasonable efforts shall be made to obtain consent from the participant or substitute consent in accordance with applicable law.
