Ointments, creams, and lotions must be packaged in a child-resistant container that has a resealing cap or closure compliant with 16 C.F.R. part 1700.15 (July 21, 1995). Dry bath soaks and transdermal patches must be packaged in a plastic that is four mil or greater in thickness to prevent unintended access to and ingestion by children or pets and is heat-sealed with no easy-open tab, dimple, corner, or flap.
