With the exception of pre-rolls, all cannabis and cannabis products must be in final form ready to be packaged upon receipt of passing results for all required tests in order to be sampled. A cannabis cultivator or cannabis product manufacturer may not alter the cannabis or cannabis product batch after sampling has occurred.

The cannabis testing facility or a designee of a cannabis testing facility must sample the amount of cannabis and cannabis products and increments in accordance with the tables below in addition to sample collection procedures:

A serving unit is a single quantity of all pre-packaged total servings for one product package of cannabis infused product intended for sale.

The cannabis product manufacturing facility must determine the size of a "serving" for each cannabis infused product in accordance with Chapter 44:90:07 of this article, and how many servings there are in the cannabis product batch. In the event that the minimum required number of sample increments does not align with the anticipated final form of the product, the cannabis testing facility or designee of a cannabis testing facility must increase sample increments to ensure products are sampled in final form.

Should a cannabis testing facility or a designee of a cannabis testing facility require samples exceeding the minimum sample amount for cannabis product batches containing cannabis infused cannabis, they must use sample increments of 1 serving.
