The Medicare certified hospice agency shall retain medical or care records once the resident is discharged. A facility shall provide for filing, safe storage, and easy accessibility for active medical or care records provided by the Medicare certified hospice agency during the residents stay. Medical or care records shall be protected against access by unauthorized individuals.
