Section 44:75:15:13 - Self-administration of medication

A patient may self-administer-drugs medication if the interdisciplinary team consisting of selected healthcare workers and licensed health professionals has determined the practice to be safe. The determination shall state whether the patient or the nursing personnel is responsible for storage of the medication and documentation of its administration in accordance with chapter 44:75:08.
