Each facility shall have the capacity to supply the normal requirements of all the facility's systems and equipment. Supply and return mains and risers of space heating and process steam systems shall be valved to isolate the various sections of each system. Each piece of equipment shall be valved at the supply and return end. Boilers, smoke breeching, steam supply piping, high pressure steam return piping, and hot water space heating supply and return piping shall be insulated with insulation having a flame spread of twenty-five or less and a smoke emission rating of fifty or less using NFPA 255, 2006 edition, Standard Method of Test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials or equivalent test procedures.
