A body piercing artist shall take precautions to prevent disease transmission to the patron. The skin of the body piercing artist shall be free of rash or infection. No person or artist affected with a boil, infected wound, open sore, abrasion, weeping dermatological lesion, or acute respiratory infection shall work in an area of a body piercing establishment in any capacity in which there is a likelihood of contaminating equipment, supplies, or working surfaces. A body piercing artist shall wear clean, laundered clothing and shall wear a clean outer garment or coverup during the body piercing.
