The skin area to be tattooed or which a tattoo is to be removed must be shaved if needed and must be washed with germicidal soap and water, rinsed, dried, and washed again with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol. A singal-use gauze pad or tissue may be used for washing the skin. All single-use products used must be discarded after they are used.
