Shadehill State Waterfowl Refuge in Perkins County comprises that portion of the U.S. bureau of reclamation take land lying within the west half of section 30, township 21 north, range 16 east; the south half of the north half and the south half of section 25, township 21 north, range 15 east; and the area lying within the ordinary high water mark of the north half of section 36, township 21 north, range 15 east of the Black Hills meridian.
