Section 24:53:07:10 - 5-12 science education program

The required courses and experiences of a 5-12 science education program shall meet the most recent edition of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) standards
(1) A science composite program shall meet the requirements of at least two of the programs listed in subdivisions (2) through (6) of this section;
(2) A 5-12 biology education program shall require the demonstrated knowledge and experiences in the systematic, quantitative, and qualitative study of the fundamentals of biology to include the study of:

Each 5-12 science education program shall require candidates to demonstrate the content, pedagogical, and professional knowledge and skills identified in the NSTA standards and to demonstrate competency on the multiple assessment measures of chapters 24:53:04, 24:53:05, and 24:53:06.
