Section 24:28:17:23 - Renewal requirements for the special education alternative teaching certificate

The special education alternative teaching certificate is valid for one year and may be renewed two times. The applicant for a renewed special education alternative teaching certificate shall submit:

(1) Documented evidence of progress toward meeting the requirements of § 24:28:14:09; and

(2) A recommendation for renewal from the school district or department-accredited school where the applicant is employed based on documented performance and progress.
