The career and technical education (CTE) instructor permit may be issued to an applicant who:

(1) Holds a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent;

(2) Has one of the following:

(a) An associate of applied science degree or higher in a related CTE field;

(b) Four thousand hours of validated work experience in a related CTE field earned within the previous five calendar years; or

(c) Holds a national certification in a related CTE field; and

(3) Submits an official transcript from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education showing the completion of a mentorship experience worth at least four credits and a course in methods of CTE worth at least two credits, both with a grade of C or higher, within the first three years of employment.
