An applicant shall:

(1) Have a bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education;

(2) Complete a teacher education program from a regionally accredited institution of higher education;

(3) Complete a South Dakota Indian studies course approved by the Department with a grade of C or higher; and

(4) Provide a written recommendation from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, completed by the designated recommending official, which verifies satisfactory completion of the approved program and specifies the areas of preparation(s), degree program(s), major(s), and endorsement areas completed by the applicant.
