A licensee shall complete 40 hours of qualified continuing education in each continuing education cycle. At least four of the continuing education hours shall be on the subject of counseling ethics. Continuing education required for renewal of a license shall be prorated in six month increments for a licensee granted an initial license during a continuing education cycle. Upon application for renewal, a licensee shall verify under penalties of perjury that all continuing education information provided on the application is true and correct. The licensee must supply sufficient detail to permit verification of the qualified continuing education if notified of an audit by the board.
