Section 12:17:02:02 - Responsibilities of dairy fieldman

In addition to making manufacturing grade farm inspections if requested to do so by the secretary, a dairy fieldman is responsible to the secretary for maintaining compliance with chapters 12:17:02 to 12:17:04, inclusive, in the dairy plant where the fieldman is employed. These responsibilities may include the following:

(1) Collecting dairy farm water samples;

(2) All matters relating to the transferring of milk producers to or from another dairy plant and receiving approval from the secretary before the transfer takes place;

(3) Furnishing to the secretary, upon request, any reports and records that may be needed for the enforcement of this article;

(4) Surveillance of bulk tank haulers for correct sampling procedures and bulk tank trucks for cleanliness and sanitation;

(5) Collecting farm bulk tank samples for official analysis.
