Notice of all meetings of the board shall be given by general news release and by written notice to persons who have requested such information. The notice shall state the purpose for which the meeting has been called. At least 10 days before a regular board meeting, the director shall send a copy of the agenda and other pertinent information to each member of the board. Copies of the agenda shall be sent to all persons who have requested them. A special meeting may be called by notifying the board members in writing at least 24 hours before the time set for the meeting.
