Section 8-627 - Exemption

(1) Factory built structures meeting all of the following criteria will be exempt from these regulations. To be exempt the unit must:
(a)
be designed for continuous over-the-road travel; and
(b) have a maximum width of eight (8) feet in
its transportable mode; and
(c)
have a maximum length of fifty (50) feet; and
(d) have permanently mounted running lights;
and
(e) have a current license
plate; and
(f) have permanent
axle(s) and under carriage system; and
(g) have stabilizers and permanent front jack
stands; and
(h) have a permanent
fifth (5th) wheel connection; and
(i) have a permanent suspension system;
and
(j) provide an electrical cord
for temporary electrical service.
(2) Self-propelled structures, containing an integral cab and licensed as a motor vehicle will be exempt from these regulations.
