Section 61-103.1500.1503 - Fire Drills (I)

A. A facility shall conduct a fire drill for each shift at least once every three (3) months.
B. A facility shall maintain records of drills including the date, time, shift, and names of individuals participating, description of the drill, and evaluation.
C. Fire drills shall be designed and conducted to:
1. Ensure that all personnel are
capable of performing assigned tasks or duties;
2. Ensure that all personnel know the
location, use, and operation of fire-fighting equipment;
3. Ensure that all personnel are thoroughly
familiar with the fire plan; and
4.
Evaluate the effectiveness of plans and personnel.
