Section 37-064 - Minimum Requirements for E-911 Operator Enrollment in Training

A. All agencies having operators as candidates for training and certification shall submit to the Academy, the following:
1. an application
under oath in a format prescribed by the Council;
2. evidence satisfactory to the Council that
the candidate possesses a high school diploma or equivalent recognized and
accepted by the South Carolina Department of Education;
3. evidence satisfactory to the Council that
the candidate's present age is not less than eighteen years;
4. evidence satisfactory to the Council that
the candidate has not been convicted of any criminal offense that carries a
possible sentence of more than one year.
B. Nothing in this regulation shall be construed to preclude any agency from establishing qualifications or standards for hiring that exceed these minimum standards.
