Section 19-709.05 - PAYMENT UPON SEPARATION FROM EMPLOYMENT

Upon separation from State employment, a lump sum payment will be made for unused annual leave, not to exceed 45 days, unless a higher maximum is authorized under Regulation Regulation 19-709.02 C., and without deducting any earned leave taken during the calendar year in which the employee separates. Upon the death of an employee while in active service, the estate of the deceased employee shall be entitled to the lump sum payment not to exceed 45 days except as included in Section 8-11-610 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.
