The director of the Rhode Island Department of Revenue establishes a five (5) member board, hereinafter referred to as the "Dealers' Hearing Board" or the "Board". The Board is authorized to hear evidence and make decisions on behalf of the Department of Revenue ("Department") in order to implement the provisions of R.I. Gen. Laws Chapters 31-5 and 31-5.1. The Board has the authority to act on behalf of the Department and the Board serves at the pleasure of the director of the Department of Revenue.
