A. Reason for Denial
1. The Department may deny, suspend or
revoke a license obtained under these chapters on any grounds found in R.I.
Gen. Laws §§
31-5-11 and
31-5-23,
or for any violation of R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter 31-5.1 or of these Regulations.
No license may be suspended or revoked until after hearing.
B. Hearings on Denial, etc.
1. Denials: Any person aggrieved by any
decision of the Department in reference to denial, may request a hearing on the
matter. Such request must be within ten (10) days of receipt of notice of such
denial.
2. Suspensions &
Revocation: When the Department determines that grounds exists for the
suspension or revocation of a license, it will give the licensee at least ten
(10) days notice of a date, time and place of a hearing on the matter, together
with a statement of the grounds for the proposed action.
3. Hearing Format: All hearings will be held
in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, R.I. Gen. Laws Chapter
42-35.
