A. Vehicles subject to the Rhode Island I/M Program shall be governed by the following standards and criteria for emissions inspection and on-board diagnostic testing procedures.
1. The AIRS shall adhere to the
Emissions and Evaporative Testing Procedures as specified in the Department of
Environmental Management's Air Pollution Control Regulation No. 34, 250-RICR-
120-05-34.
2. A vehicle shall pass
the Emissions and Evaporative Emissions Test if the result of the test for each
pollutant complies with the emission standard and criteria applicable to that
vehicle listed in the Department of Environmental Management's Air Pollution
Control Regulation No. 34, 250-RICR- 120-05-34.
3. The AIRS shall adhere to the On-Board
Diagnostic Test Procedure as specified in the Department of Environmental
Management's Air Pollution Control Regulation No. 34, 250-RICR-
120-05-34.
4. The AIRS shall adhere
to the operational procedures outlined in the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
Motor Vehicle Inspection Manual.
