Section 220-RICR-30-00-13.6 - Specified Quantity Requirements

A. Except where expressly specified to the contrary, all solicitations are predicated on a specified quantity of goods or services, or for a specified level of funding. Provided, however, that:
1. If stated in the
solicitation, the State reserves the right to modify the quantity, scope of
service, or funding of any Contract, with no penalty or charge, by written
notice to the Vendor; and,
2. The
State shall not accept quantities in excess of the specified quantity except
where the item is normally sold by weight (where sold by weight, the State
shall not accept quantities greater than ten per cent [10%] of the specified
quantity), or where the solicitation provides for other than exact quantities;
and,
3. Quantities and performance
periods set forth in a Purchase Order or a Purchase Agreement may be increased
or extended with approval of the State Purchasing Agent provided; however, that
any such increase or extension shall be documented through issuance of a Change
Order issued by the Division.
