Section 214-RICR-10-00-1.22 - Protecting and Identifying Victims of Sex Trafficking

A. The Department, in partnership with the community and other organizations, is responsible to investigate, identify, and support children who are victims of sex trafficking or at risk of being a victim of sex trafficking, and to prevent further exploitation of youth by ensuring access to appropriate interventions, treatment, and protections.

B. The Department has collaborated with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, community providers, the Aubin Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital, the Attorney General's Office, and other social service organizations to ensure youth that have been identified as victims of sex trafficking receive the appropriate treatment and support.
