(a) The provider shall provide active and ongoing opportunities, information about employment options appropriate for the individual and the services necessary to seek and retain competitive integrated employment.
(b) Competitive integrated employment is work performed on a full-time or part-time basis, including self-employment for which an individual is:
(1) Compensated at
not less than Federal minimum wage requirements or State or local minimum wage
law, whichever is higher, and not less than the customary rate paid by the
employer for the same or similar work performed by persons without a
disability.
(2) At a location where
the employee interacts with people without a disability, not including
supervisory personnel or persons who are providing services to such
employee.
(3) Presented, as
appropriate, opportunities for similar benefits and advancement like those for
other employees without a disability and who have similar
positions.
