(a) Eligibility ends on one of the following dates:
(1) For the woman whose eligibility was based
on pregnancy, the end of the month in which the 60-day postpartum period ends.
The 60-day period begins with the date the pregnancy was terminated.
(2) For the qualified child, the day
preceding the date that the child exceeds the age
limitation.
(b) Eligibility ends effective for the first MAID Card Issuance for which the deadline can be met, following proper notification, under the following circumstances:
(1) When increased income
results in ineligibility.
(2) When
ineligibility occurs as the result of the loss of the $30 plus 1/3 disregard or
the $30 disregard.
(3) When
ineligibility occurs prior to the end of the month in which the 60-day
postpartum period ends as the result of the woman or newborn changing legal
residence to another state.
(c) When benefits are terminated because the recipient no longer meets the requirements of pregnancy or age, eligibility for continuing MA coverage under the NMP-MA and MNO-MA Programs is explored. If the recipient is determined eligible, MA benefits are continued under the appropriate program with no interruption in MA coverage.
