Section 97.107 - Drug offender treatment program

(a) A DOTP developed for a defendant shall be designed to address the defendant's individually assessed drug and alcohol abuse and addiction needs and other issues essential to the defendant's successful reintegration into the community, including, education and employment issues.
(b) A DOTP developed for a defendant shall be 24 months in duration and include the following:
(1) A period of confinement in a
State correctional institution of at least 7 months, including the assessment
period prior to the imposition of sentence and a period of at least 4 months
during which the defendant shall be placed in an institutional therapeutic
community.
(2) A period of
treatment in a community-based therapeutic community of at least 2
months.
(3) A period of at least 6
months treatment through an outpatient addiction treatment facility.
(4) A period of supervised reintegration into
the community for the balance of the DOTP.
