Rule 1.0 - Preamble

1.1. Purpose.

The Judicial Ethics Advisory Board is the designated and approved body to render advice, opinions, and guidance regarding appropriate ethical conduct involving all judicial officers and candidates for all judicial offices who are subject to the Code of Judicial Conduct and/or the Rules Governing Standards of Conduct of Magisterial District Judges (collectively, the "Codes").1

1.2. Mission Statement.

To ensure the continued integrity and public trust of Pennsylvania's judiciary, the Judicial Ethics Advisory Board shall, upon request, provide Advice and/or Opinions to any Judicial Officer or judicial candidate based on the Codes.
