Section 850-060-0210 - Education and Reporting Requirements for Ketamine Therapy

(1) Prior to prescribing non-topical ketamine; a Licensee must provide the Board proof of completion of four (4) hours of Board approved pharmacology education on prescribing Ketamine, including dosage and administration, clinical indications, and safety planning.

(2) Prior to prescribing non-topical ketamine, unless prescribing ketamine for pain management only, a Licensee must provide the Board proof of completion of two (2) hours of Board approved ethics education on Ketamine prescribing and treatment, including doctor-patient boundaries, enhanced consent, and therapy models.

(3) IV and Injectable Ketamine must be administered and supervised for the duration of the treatment by a Licensee who has completed the required training in Section 1 and 2.

(4) Licensees may submit to the Board proof of approved education required in Section 1 and 2, earned before December 31, 2022, for approval for compliance with this rule.
