This rule is issued under the Commissioner's general rulemaking authority set forth in ORS 731.244(2). The purpose of this rule is to identify particular insurance practices involving distinctions between men and women, or between married and unmarried individuals, that will be regarded as unfair discrimination which violates 746.015.
