(1) OAR chapter 735, division 18 rules are adopted by DMV under the authority of ORS 802.012.
(2) The purpose of these rules is to:
(a) Specify the procedures and requirements
under which a person or organization may, by electronic means, submit
information to DMV that is customarily provided on paper forms; and
(b) Promote the development and use of
electronic transactions between DMV and its customers while providing service
that is efficient, secure, convenient and responsive.
