The Transportation Safety Office of the Department of Transportation adopts Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 125, Warning Devices, in regard to red emergency reflective warning devices (triangles), intended for use as roadside warning devices for stopped or disabled vehicles. This standard is as found in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 571.
