(1) After issuing its final report under OAR 581-055-0007, the Department of Education shall send notice of a right to a contested case hearing under OAR 137-003-0501 to 137-003-0700.

(2) Upon receiving notice of the right to a contested case hearing under this rule, a person may request from the department, within the amount of time stated in the notice, a contested case hearing to appeal the matter asserted in the final report. Hearings requested under this section are subject to the provisions established for contested case hearings under OAR 137-003-0501 to 137-003-0700.
