Section 230-080-0120 - Failure to Resume Boxing

No contestant shall leave the ring during any one minute rest period between rounds. Should any contestant fail or refuse to resume boxing when the gong sounds denoting the commencement of the next succeeding round, the referee shall award a TKO decision to the opponent as of the round which has been finished, unless the circumstances indicate to the referee the requirement for investigation or punitive action, in which event the referee shall not give a decision and shall refer the matter to the Director in the referee's written report. The purses, if applicable, of the contestants shall be withheld pending investigation and disposition of the funds by the Superintendent.
