Section 230-070-0020 - Ring Ropes

Ring ropes shall be at least four in number, not less than one inch in diameter; the lower rope 18 inches above the ring floor, the top rope 52 inches above the ring floor, and the two other ropes will be evenly spaced. The ropes shall be reinforced by a nonabrasive rope on each side in the center of the ropes. The ropes shall attach to the ring ropes with turnbuckles. The ropes shall be taut and firm during all contests. The lower rope shall have applied around it a padding of a thickness of not less than one-half inch and of a type and construction to be approved by the Director. The lower rope shall be offset at least 6" (six inches) and not more than 12" (twelve inches) toward the ring apron.
