Public Works is responsible for the management of the city's infrastructure. Engineering documents the technical specifications necessary to complete certain functions within city government.

(1) Aerial Photographs - Minimum retention: Permanent.

(2) City Benchmark Records - Minimum retention: Permanent.

(3) Engineering Project Technical Records - For appraisal assistance, contact the Oregon State Archives. - Minimum retention:

(a) Records of project cost, retain 3 years after disposal or replacement of facility, structure, or system;

(b) All other records, retain 10 years after substantial completion, as defined by ORS 12.135(3).

(4) Maps, Plans, and Drawings, City Created - Minimum retention: retain permanently.

(5) Survey Field Records - Minimum retention:

(a) General surveys and right-of-way location records, retain permanently;

(b) All other construction records, retain 10 years after substantial completion of project, as defined by ORS 12.135(3);

(c) For retention of law enforcement surveys, see Incident Case Files in the Public Safety section.
