Section 800:25-11-2 - Propagation, purchase and sale of raptors

The following restrictions apply to persons possessing raptors for propagation, purchase or sale purposes:

(1) Oklahoma residents may possess raptors for breeding purposes and may purchase, sell, trade of barter captive bred raptors, raptor semen or raptor eggs.

(2) All persons participating in such activities shall possess a federal raptor propagation permit and be in full compliance with federal regulations governing such activities

(3) All persons participating in such activities shall possess an Oklahoma Commercial Wildlife Breeders License.

(4) With respect to activities conducted under authority of a raptor propagation permit, no person shall import a raptor into or export a raptor from the State of Oklahoma without having first obtained a permit from the Director of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.

(5) Propagation permit holders shall file copies of all reports submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation within 7 days of submission.
