Section 775:10-4-3 - Return to active practice from emeritus status

(a) When a Veterinarian has taken Veterinarian Emeritus status and subsequently chooses to return to active practice of veterinary medicine from Veterinarian Emeritus status within six (6) months of the date said status was granted, the Veterinarian shall:

(1) Pay required fees, and

(2) complete required forms as required by the Board.

(b) When a Veterinarian has taken the Veterinarian Emeritus status and then chooses to return to active veterinary medical practice more than six (6) months after the date of taking the Veterinarian Emeritus status, in addition to the requirements of payment of fees and completion of forms, the Veterinarian may be required by the Board to:

(1) Make a personal appearance before the Board or Secretary of the Board; and/or

(2) Submit to a physical examination, psychological and/or psychiatric examination; and/or

(3) Provide evidence of successful completion of continuing veterinarian education; and/or

(4) Provide evidence of successful completion of a competency and/or jurisprudence examination as directed by the Board of the Secretary of the Board.
