Chapter 45 - Retired Peace Officer Firearms Permits
Section 390:45-1-5 - Eligibility requirements

Each retiree shall meet the following criteria to obtain and retain a firearms permit:

(1) State, county, or municipal peace officer of this state or any federal law enforcement officer.

(2) Have obtained retired peace officer status as attested to by the Chief Administrative Officer from the retiree's retirement agency;

(3) Possess no physical or mental impairment which would preclude proper and safe handling of a sidearm.

(4) Not have a conviction or currently be subject to any pending criminal prosecution for any preclusions listed in 21 O.S. Section 1290.10 or 1290.11.
