Section 377:3-13-133 - Visitation procedures

(a) Written policy and procedure shall:
(1) specify how
many visitors the juvenile can receive;
(2) specify how often visitation is
available;
(3) require the
maintenance of a log of persons allowed to visit; and
(4) designate the length of the
visitation.
(b) Written policy and procedures shall also address the following:
(1) visits may be limited by the facility's
schedule, space, and personnel constraints or where there are other substantial
reasons to justify limiting visitations ;
(2) juveniles have the right to refuse
visitation ;
(3) all visitors are
subject to searches ; and
(4) a
written record shall be maintained of visitation restrictions and the
subsequent review of those restrictions.
