Section 375:25-3-9 - Representation and participation

(a) A party to a proceeding may be self represented or may be represented by an attorney. The OSBI shall be represented by its General Counsel. Hearings shall be open to the public. However, when it is deemed necessary to maintain order, fairness, or decorum, the hearing examiner may limit attendance and may impose reasonable conditions to protect the hearing process.

(b) Where the respondent fails without good cause to procure legal representation or witnesses by the time of the hearing a continuance shall not be granted.
