Section 375:2-1-10 - Affidavit of compliance with federal domestic violence law

All applicants for employment who are selected for such employment and accept a conditional offer of employment as a commissioned law enforcement officer shall sign an affidavit provided by the OSBI affirming that the applicant has never been convicted of any misdemeanor federal or state law which has, as an element, the use or attempted use of physical force or the threatened use of a deadly weapon committed by a:

(1) current or former spouse, parent or guardian of the victim,

(2) person with whom the victim shares a child in common,

(3) person who is cohabiting with or has cohabited with the victim as a spouse, parent or guardian, or,

(4) person similarly situated to a spouse, parent, or guardian of the victim.
