Section 35:40-17-1 - Purpose

(a) The purpose of the Agritourism Program is to stimulate economic growth and viability in rural communities by promoting and fostering agritourism ventures within Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry shall operate the Agritourism program in a manner consistent with the provisions of 2 O.S. § 5-12.

(b) Persons enrolled in the Agritourism Program shall ensure that diversity and inclusion is encouraged at the venue and that bias, prejudice, racism, and hatred are not a part of the activities at the venue. The diversity of agritourism customers is honored and valued. Approved Oklahoma Agritourism venues shall respect the diversity of all customers and shall honor and value the dignity of all individuals.
