Section 310:663-3-4 - Appropriateness of placement in assisted living center

(a) The assisted living center shall use the screening instrument specified in 310:663-5 to determine the appropriateness of the resident's placement in the assisted living center.
(b) The resident shall not be eligible for placement in the assisted living center under one (1) or more of the following circumstances:
(1) The resident needs care or
services that exceed the care or services available in the assisted living
center;
(2) The resident's
physician determines that the resident requires physical or chemical restraints
in situations other than emergencies;
(3) The resident poses a threat to self or
others; or
(4) The assisted living
center is unable to meet the resident's needs for privacy or dignity.
