When a boat or outboard motor is found abandoned with no known owner, the finder may apply for ownership by submitting a statement of facts to Service Oklahoma, detailing where, when and under what circumstances the boat or outboard motor was found abandoned. Service Oklahoma may conduct an inspection of the boat or outboard motor. Upon completion of the inspection and issuance of a letter of clearance, Service Oklahoma will issue titling instructions to the applicant.
