In-transit license plates are issued for qualifying vehicles engaged in the business of transporting and delivering vehicles. Manufactured home transporters are required to have a motor carrier number (MC#) issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) or insurance on file with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (O.C.C.) before an in-transit plate can be issued. If the applicant does not have a motor carrier number (MC#), the Verification of Insurance on file must be verified with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. In-transit plates expire on December 31st of each year. The application and license are issued through Service Oklahoma.
