(a) Grantees shall use grant funds to hire school nurses to:
(1)
Implement comprehensive, evidence-based tobacco use prevention and cessation
programs demonstrated to be effective by the United States Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention; and
(2)
Perform other duties required by the district.
(b) A school nurse hired to implement the program must be a registered nurse and certified the same as a teacher by the State Department of Education.
