Section 150:1-21-7 - Review of audits; appeals

(a) After receipt of an audit, the Department shall have six (6) months to review the audit. The Department is required to "ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken within six (6) months after receipt of the (contractor's) audit report in instances of noncompliance with Federal laws and regulations", as provided in Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards.

(b) After review, if it is determined that funds are owed to the Department, the Department shall issue a Notice to Show Cause pursuant to the provisions of Sections 150:1-15-1 et seq. of this chapter.

(c) Any part aggrieved by a final order of the Department may request an appeal pursuant to the provisions of Section 150:1-15-14 of this chapter.
